In Rowatt, Saskatchewan, we split and polish peas, and clean and bag whole peas, chickpeas and lentils for both domestic and export markets. Dry field pulses are purchased from growers near our facilities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. BCP prides itself on quality, fast-cooking peas for the canning market, and super-polished split peas for retail markets worldwide.
In Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, we mill ‘Best’ pulse flours and pea fiber. These products are used in baked goods, cereals, extruded snacks, nutrition bars, pasta, soups and sauces, health drinks, and processed meat products throughout the world.
‘Best’ Pea Fiber is approved by Health Canada’s Bureau of Nutritional Science, the FDA and the USDA (FSIS).
The Portage facility also produces pet-grade ‘Best’ Pea Fiber (known as Best Pea Bran Meal), and ‘Best’ Pulse Flours, which are highly valued in grain-free pet nutrition products.
